What’s the first thing you think about when you read this quote?
Go and love someone exactly as they are and then watch how quickly they transform into the greatest, truest version of themselves. When one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered.

-Wes Angelozzi-

I bet, that for many of us the first thought is that the quote refers to loving someone else. And yes, I’m not saying that’s not important but read the quote again and apply it to YOURSELF. Really sit with it… Sit with these powerful words holding yourself as the target of love and appreciation. Do you feel seen and appreciated by you? Do you Love yourself EXACTLY as you are? Do you spend most of your time ‘working’ on yourself or loving on yourself? Do you focus on your ‘faults’ or on your magnificence? When you go to bed at night do you acknowledge just how amazing and special you are or do you beat yourself up for not accomplishing everything on your ‘to-do’ list?

The reason most of us are so obsessed with wanting to be seen and validated by others is because we don’t give that to ourselves. Simple as that.

There’s a huge difference between understanding self-love and practicing self-love REGULARLY. That means every day all day long. Like breathing or blinking. When Loving ourselves becomes second nature, the choices we make reflect that. You want to start making better choices? You want to transform and live as the greatness that you are? You want to fulfill what you came here for? Then love up on yourself like never before!

Let’s talk about this loaded question- ‘What is my Soul’s purpose? Why am I here’?
As someone who is fascinated by this question and the quest to dig as deep as possible into the mystery of life, here’s my take on this:

I don’t care how successful one seems to be. (Whatever ‘successful’ means). If we don’t spend our days loving, adoring, admiring, appreciating and caring for ourselves (and that means ALL of ourselves, body-mind-spirit), we’re not fulfilling our soul’s purpose. It doesn’t need to be either or. Just don’t be fooled that being successful at what you do, even if you’re creating a massive impact in the world, means you are fulfilling your soul’s purpose. By all means, follow your earthly purpose, fulfill your passions and desires, help people and make an impact. Be a healer, a teacher, a leader, a mover and a shaker. But let us remember that there’s another purpose for our existence, which I believe is the primary one.

At the end of the day, love has the most impact so why are we depriving ourselves of the most powerful and transformational tool in existence?? And it’s always available to us… Our body and soul just waiting for us to get on with the program and start pouring love and appreciation on ourselves.

We definitely need a radical approach here because for way too long we’ve been radical in the opposite direction. Judging ourselves, mistreating ourselves, bullying ourselves, ignoring our bodies, suppressing our feelings, compromising our health and well-being and fearing being seen selfish or too self-absorbed. The list goes on and on. We are waking up to the realization that the soul’s journey, the soul’s purpose is about remembering who we truly are. Once we realize that, we start treating ourselves and each other very differently. Loving and honoring ourselves- our body, our mind, our spirit, become number one on the list. That’s when profound transformation happens. Then real self-empowerment takes place. And when our global community consists of individuals who live in this way, the world changes.

You want to change the world? then love yourself deeply, wholeheartedly and unconditionally. Let your choices be made from a deep place of love and appreciation and see the transformation taking place effortlessly, within yourself and in the world. After all, it is all an inside job. Now read that quote again. And again. Write it on a post-it and read it every day until it becomes like second nature. Loving yourself on the in breath, loving yourself even more on the out breath.

Go and love someone exactly as they are and then watch how quickly they transform into the greatest, truest version of themselves. When one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered.

That someone is YOU.
